Eternal Life and Abundant Life | Salvation And Discipleship Kids

Imagine you've been given a magical golden ticket to the biggest, most fun amusement park in the whole world. This isn't just any park—it's open forever, and your ticket gets you in for your entire life! You can enjoy all the rides, games, and treats any time you want.

Salvation: Eternal Life

Jesus said, “…I have come that they may have life…” (John 10:10)

That special golden ticket is like what Jesus gives us when we believe in Him—it's called eternal life. It's like an unlimited pass to God's amazing park, Heaven. Once you say "yes" to Jesus, your name is on the Heaven guest list forever!

Discipleship: Abundant Life

Jesus also said, "…I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." (John 10:10)

Now, once you're inside the park, you get to explore all the fantastic things there. That's like what we call discipleship. It means learning more about Jesus and living the way He wants us to. It's like choosing to try all the rides, play all the games, and share your cotton candy with others. But if you decide not to explore, it's like sitting on a park bench and not enjoying everything the park offers.

Having believed in Jesus is like having that magical ticket—it promises you a place in Heaven. But to make your life joyful and exciting here on Earth, you need to explore all that Jesus teaches us.

Kids Activity

Let's design our own amusement park on a big sheet of paper. Draw all the cool rides and games you can think of. And don't forget to draw yourself having lots of fun in different parts of the park!

Kids Questions

  • How is believing in Jesus for eternal life like having a ticket to an amusement park?
  • Can you think of ways to make your life with Jesus more fun and exciting, just like exploring all the rides in the amusement park?

  1. It's hard enough to get this truth into the minds of adults who may just think eternal life is what we get after we die. Making this attractive to children is genius. They need this concept early on, and when it is simple enough for a child to grasp, adults will get it too.
    Nicely done.

  2. That is a great illustration of the abundant life. I love the characters and environment. Very nice work.
