I'm here in Kolob Canyon in Zion National Park. And for a minute the noise has dropped away. It's incredibly quiet with only the light sound of the breeze kind of whispering through the canyon and a dog in the distance. Then you get back in the car and it all comes back, right? You know, Jesus talked about a peace that does not work like that. He said, "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled. Neither let it be afraid." You know, a canyon can calm you for an afternoon. It cannot keep your heart when the phone lights up. His peace is a gift, not a view. You do not earn it by finding the right overlook. You receive it through your relationship with him.
