In this episode of the Seekers Series, we trace the storyline from the garden, to Abraham, to Isaac, to Jacob, to Judah, to David, and through the prophets. As the story unfolds, the hope of restored life becomes increasingly connected to a promised person — someone who would deal with the serpent, bring blessing to the nations, reign as king, bring restoration, and give humanity the life only God can provide.
By the time the New Testament introduces Jesus, the question is not coming out of nowhere:
Could this man be the promised person the written record has been pointing to?
And that leads to the next major question:
If the written record points to Jesus, what did Jesus claim about Himself — and what did He promise to give?
