Society's Lies | New Book Release

I grew up on movie advice. The Sandlot said, follow your heart and you'll never go wrong. Pocahontas said, listen to your heart. Good Will Hunting said, do what's in your heart and you'll be fine. And I kind of believed it until Jeremiah 17:9 stopped me cold. It says the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked; who can understand it? My heart had pushed me toward comfort, pride, and excuses. Scripture gave me a much better path. So don't follow your heart. Teach your heart and mind to stay focused on Christ. And by the way, I have a new book coming out that wrestles with cultural slogans just like this one and many others. You can watch for that. It's called Society's Lies, and it's coming soon.

Society has a line ready for every hard moment. Follow your heart. Be whatever you want. You are already perfect. Love yourself. Stay informed.

Those slogans sell movies, apps, and a lot of church talk. They also contradict Scripture. This book takes them one at a time, names the lie, and sets the Bible beside it.

You will not find a new gospel here. If you have believed in Jesus to gain eternal life, you have it. What you will find is a clearer mind.
