Through the water — and He is with you

I'm here at Kanarra Falls in Utah, and I'm walking one of the slot canyons where the only way forward in a lot of places is through the water. A lot of life feels like that. You don't get a dry path, you get a creek with cold rock and a choice to keep going. You know, God didn't tell his people that the rivers would dry up before they stepped in. He said, when you pass through the waters, I will be with you and through the rivers they shall not overflow you. That's not a promise that the hike will be easy. It's a promise that you won't go under. If you're facing something deep and afraid to take that dive of faith, don't wait till you feel ready. Just jump in. He's with you in the water.

Eternal Clarity quote
Isaiah 43:2 NKJV

Same canyon, farther in: walking the creek bed at Kanarra, water over the ankles, rock slick underfoot. Fieldy didn't catch much that day, but the footage does — this is the stretch where you stop talking and just keep moving through the water. God never promised the rivers would dry up first. He promised He'd be with you in them. That's not a promise the hike will be easy. It's a promise you won't go under.
